Toilet Training for Individuals with Special Needs

Wednesday, April 13, 2016
6:00 - 8:00 pm
Rebecca School
40 East 30th Street (5th fl), NYC

Join us for an important presentation on toilet training - an issue that is not often discussed but is a challenge for many families of children and young people on the autism spectrum. For neurotypical children, toileting issues are usually resolved at a young age. For children with autism and other special needs, issues concerning toilet training can present challenges for the entire family for many years.

This workshop will summarize an evidence-based toilet training approach for children with developmental delays.  Workshop attendees will receive answers to frequently asked toilet training questions, key pointers from a professional, and step-by-step instructions to prepare for and successfully carry out a toilet training procedure.  Presented by Ashley Stahl Abeles, MSEd.
